Chris Sladen, PhD, CBE
Chris offers insights to inform, shape a decision, policy & regulation, and guide the next steps for energy ventures, acquisitions & divestments, energy technology applications, new technologies, energy efficiency, the energy transition and climate strategies.
Chris has a unique global experience having worked in over 40 countries. This is underpinned by extensive knowledge of petroleum systems and where and how best to find oil and gas, notably in the Gulf of Mexico & nearby areas, Europe and NE & SE Asia. He has worked on dozens of oil and gas field developments. His experience also covers the development of midstream, downstream market development & renewables investments in many emerging economies.
Chris' insights help decide what to invest in, when & how much, and also when to divest or exit, and how to maximise their value. Chris has extensive experience acquired on the Boards of companies, dozens of subsidiaries, also business chambers & energy committees.
He is well known for building new business between public and private sector energy companies.
Chris has a career of over 40 years in the energy sector, living in Mexico (2001-2018), Russia, Vietnam, Mongolia, China & UK.
Publications over five decades
Chris is author of over 25 professional papers on energy trends, National Oil Companies, petroleum systems, petroleum exploration & development in SE Asia, energy technologies, sedimentology and climate changes as revealed by mineralogy in the geological rock record.
He is a leading global authority on petroleum in lake basins and evolution of lake basins with contributions in a number of books. He is an invited keynote speaker at many international conferences speaking on industry trends, petroleum contracts, technology trends, new technologies, petroleum in lake basins, and the energy sector in Mexico.
He is currently author of a regular ‘Energy matters’ op-ed column for ANZMEX in Mexico and was previously author of the 'Bizarre scenes of my life’ column for SEAPEX in Singapore. He has contributed to numerous media articles and is frequently quoted on energy issues by energy press and mainstream media.
His contributions to the energy and education sectors have been recognised by the UK Government with both an MBE and CBE, and also the Aztec Eagle from the Mexican Government – the first foreigner in the energy sector to achieve this award.

Adrienne Bonwick
Adrienne is known to colleagues and clients as a dynamic, insightful, and principled professional in the HR field with a global perspective. She has a broad HR and business background spanning a wide range of roles, organisations, cultures and challenges.
Adrienne has extensive human capital consulting experience for multinational and local clients in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Latin America. She has a wide range of experience in the design and implementation of HR, knowledge management and learning resources and systems in a global HR consulting environment. After successfully creating the HR programme for one of Vietnam's most high profile foreign investments in the early 1990's, Adrienne established Bonwick & Associates Limited, the first HR consultancy in Vietnam. Her business offered a wide range of services to foreign and local investors over a 17 year period.
She was the founding Director and later President of the Australia, New Zealand & Mexico Business Council which focusses on promoting and developing trade and investment relations between Australian, New Zealand & Mexican companies and individuals.
She has served on various boards in the education and not for profit sectors in Mexico and the UK and is currently a school Governor in the UK.
Early in her career, Adrienne worked in a range of operational HR roles in the hospitality industry across Asia Pacific - developing a wide range of programmes to support hotel openings, transformations and operational improvements.
Adrienne's educational qualifications include an MBA in Organisational Development, Graduate Diploma in Training & Development and Associate Diploma of Hospitality Management.
